Yana — Drawings

This book brings together drawings and watercolours by Yana Kuznetsova, created in the last years of her life.

Yana (Nina) Kuznetsova was born on 4 November 1938 in the village of Glebovo near Moscow and died on 11 August 2019 in Moscow. During the last fifteen-plus years of her life, one of her passions was drawing, to which she devoted a great deal of her time. The volume contains reproductions of all the pictures that were accessible at the time of publication.

Like many members of the Russian intelligentsia, Yana loved the poetry of Joseph Brodsky. Excerpts from his verse accompany the pictures in this edition.

This book has not been released for sale. It was created as a memorial volume and given only to close friends and family.
